You can make the necessary corrections for your local city (by  adding or subtracting the time difference between your Sun Rise and Sun Set to / from the Sun Rise and Sun Set given above) to find the exact time of Subh Muharat or just add 15 minutes in starting time mentioned and subtract 15 minutes from ending time mentioned herein .....

DIWALI is the festival of Lights. Deepavali as is commonly known, is very well described in Sanskrit: deep meaning lights and avali, meaning a row. As rows of diyas light up the home, it symbolises the victory of righteousness and lifting of spiritual darkness. Thus it is called festival of lights.

Diwali is celebrated twenty days after Dushera, on Amavasya (New Moon), the fifteenth day of the dark fortnight of the month of Ashvin. The festival corresponds with the English months of October / November.

The Lights, banishing the darkness, symbolize the awakening of knowledge that frees humankind from the bondage of ignorance. Diwali is time for celebrations and welcome happiness into our lives.

Diwali is celebrated over a course of five days with each day having its own significance. The first day of Diwali is called Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi. The second day is called Naraka Chaturdashi or Chhoti Diwali or Kali Chaudas. The third and one of the most important days, Meri Maiya Maha Lakshmi Puja or Chopada Puja. The fourth day is Varshapratipada or Govardhan Puja or Bali Pratipada. And the last day is Bhaiya Duj or Bhaubij. Understanding the history behind each day will help us celebrate Diwali with enthusiasm .....

Yes, it is time for Diwali the "Festival of Lights" .....

Tips for a Happy & Safe Diwali .... This will surely Help you .....

• Please Hold sparklers away from your body

• Don't wear loose, synthetic clothes as they catch fire easily

• Please wear shoes, not slippers, while bursting crackers

• Light crackers with a candle, don't use a matchstick or paper

• Please Do Not bend over an Anar (fountain) while lighting it

• Make sure rockets face the sky not towards a house

• Wash your hands after bursting firecrackers

• Remember, before bursting crackers, keep a First Aid Kit, water and a thick blanket handy. If possible keep a small can of fire fighter .....
